Awana

Awana is our exciting children’s ministry for preschool through sixth grade.  This ministry helps give children a firm foundation in God’s Word by helping children learn the Bible through Scripture memorization.  Each week, children spend time learning the Bible as well as engaging in fast paced games and recreation.  Children earn rewards for their progress through the program.  Awana starts at 6:30 on Wednesday evenings and ends at 8:00.  The children spend 20 minutes in game time, 40 minutes working through their handbook with adult leaders, and 20 minutes in counsel time where adult leaders share a devotion with the children.  Throughout the year, the children also participate in various “theme” nights, and there are also other family activities that the Awana ministry hosts.  Bring your children!  We guarantee that they will love Awana!  For  more information about the Awana ministry, visit their national website at www.awana.org.
