Music

make a joyful noise_tWe believe that music plays an important role in the worship of God.  Music is not worship.  Rather, according to Romans 12:1, worship is a way of life.  It’s giving honor and glory to the God of all creation in all that we do.  However, we do believe that music helps express our hearts toward God. Psalm 96:1 says:  “Oh sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth!  Sing to the Lord, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day.”  Through our music, we desire to tell of the salvation that comes from God through Jesus Christ.

If you play an instrument or enjoy singing, we have a place for you to use your musical abilities for the glory of God.  Our choir leads in worship most Sundays.  The choir is constantly working on featured music that ministers to our congregation and exalts Jesus Christ.  They also prepare and present seasonal musicals throughout the year.  We have a small orchestra that leads in worship about once a month.  If you play an orchestral instrument, we would love to have you use your talents.  We have a praise band that leads in worship about once a month as well as  leading worship for our Wednesday night student ministry.  There are music opportunities for your children.  We have a preschool and children’s choir that present featured music from time to time.  If you enjoy music, we have a place for you to use your gifts for the Lord!  For more information about our music ministry, contact our Worship Pastor, Eric Bruton at ericbrut@comcast.net
