Meet Our Leadership

Tommy began his ministry as pastor of Big Stevens Creek on October 25, 2009.  Prior to coming to Big Stevens Creek, Tommy served as a pastor in the New Orleans area.  He is originally from Augusta, Georgia.  At the age of six, he placed his faith in Jesus Christ.  After his senior year of high school, he felt the Lord calling him into ministry.  He went to college thinking that God was going to use him in music ministry.  However, during his junior year of college, God specifically called Tommy to preach.  He completed his Bachelor of Music degree from Mercer University.  He attended seminary at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary completing a Master of Divinity and Master of Theology degree.  He is currently working on his dissertation to complete the requirements for the Ph.D. degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.  Tommy is married to Staci, a New Orleans native.  Tommy’s passion is preaching the Word of God and seeing people changed by the Word of God.  Tommy and Staci have a desire to see the church mobilized and answering God’s call to make Jesus Christ known in all nations.  You can read Pastor Tommy’s blog at www.tommymeador.wordpress.com.

Eric Bruton, Associate Pastor of Worship

Eric Bruton was cThe Brutonsalled from the Raleigh, North Carolina area to ministry at Big Stevens Creek in 2004.  He and his wife, Cheryl, have been involved in church music ministry in the Carolinas and Georgia for about twenty years.  After completing his bachelor’s degree in Music Education at Toccoa Falls Bible College, he served as a bivocational music minister and also worked as a high school choral teacher at Northside High School in Warner Robins, Georgia.  Eventually, God led Eric to Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina where he earned a Masters in Church Music degree.  Eric has a passion to lead others to worship the Lord in spirit and in truth through music and through living lives surrendered to God’s Word and His purposes.

DSC02076Debbie has served as Big Steven Creek’s ministry assistant for eleven years, and she has been a part of the Big Stevens Creek family for sixteen years.  She plays a huge role in managing our office to ensure that it runs smoothly.  A native of Florida, she is married to Tony who is our Sunday School Director.  Debbie and Tony have four children.
